My husband and I have a house we're both in the title, but we want to divorce my question is how can I do to get out of the title leave just only him?

Answered by attorney Lori Nevias
Divorce lawyer at Lori Nevias, Attorney at Law
The house along with your other assets will be divided as part of your divorce agreement. Changing title to the property is a simple matter that can be handled by an attorney (such as myself) who practices in both real estate and divorce law. Don't transfer title too quickly without speaking with a lawyer.

Process of getting a divorce after 3 months

Kristen Prata Browde
Answered by attorney Kristen Prata Browde (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Browde Law, P.C.
Your easiest method is to simply wait until six months have passed since the date of the marriage and file on the basis of irretrievable breakdown of the marriage. Assuming you both are in agreement the only question on timing would be based upon where you live - different counties have different backlogs of cases - some take weeks, some take many months to process uncontested divorces.

How can I get a divorce with my spouse that has been unreachable and nowhere to be found for over 2years?

Ava Gail Gutfriend
Answered by attorney Ava Gail Gutfriend (Unclaimed Profile)

After you file for a divorce your spouse must be served with the summons and complaint. Given that your husband location is unknown, the court after you attempt personal service can order an alternative method of service. A private investigator can be hired to locate your spouse for service. I suggest you consult with an attorney who specializes in family law
