If I am in a divorce, will I have to sell my house if I don't want to?

Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
Maybe, but probably not. If there is any equity in the house, you may have to pay him his share or balance the property split so that you each get half.

Will I pay spousal support once our divorce is finalized because I make more money?

Answered by attorney Helene Ellenbogen (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Law Offices of Helene Ellenbogen P.S.
If she doesn't ask for spousal support she won't get any. Given that she's lived without support from you for 18 months it's unlikely a court would award it now.

Can I stop paying for my ex-wife's bills and child support?

Answered by attorney Mark A Manning (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Mark A. Manning, P.C.
In Michigan the provisions for payment are in the Judgment of Divorce you are required to pay in accordance with the terms. To modify you would have to file a Motion with the Court to modify the terms. If there is no court order, etc. you are under no obligation to pay.
