Am I entitled to alimony based on the money my husband earns after I file for divorce, or only the income he was making before I filed?

Answered by attorney Anne Barbara Howard (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Anne B. Howard, A Professional Law Corporation
The amount of alimony is based on his earnings during marriage and other factors. If he earned nothing during marriage and now works it would be hard to get alimony. However it is up to a judge how much and for how long.

Can I change the locks to my house?

Answered by attorney Mark T. Peters (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Peters Law, PLLC
If you have already filed, probably not. Typically, the courts enter a standard order requiring everything to stay more or less the same. On the other hand, if your ex agrees, then it should be okay.
