What can I do if my ex husband raised alimony to $2700 monthly a year ago and now he claims the order says $1800 only and he is lowering it?

If he isn't paying what is owed, he is in contempt. File a contempt action against him. As for work, if the order doesn't state that your support is reduced by you working, then he would be violating the order by reducing your support if you got a job.

What can a person do to stop a divorce?

Robert Joseph Merlin
Answered by attorney Robert Joseph Merlin (Unclaimed Profile)
Divorce lawyer at Robert J. Merlin, P.A.
He should call the attorney who subpoenaed him and tell him that he does not even know the woman. Perhaps if he lets the attorney know that he does not know anything about the woman, he will be released from the subpoena. But if he gets released, have him get that confirmed in writing from the attorney who issued the subpoena.

If the spouse has agreed to everything the dissolution can be uncontested. Check out the forms at flcourts.org under family law.
