Is there anything I can do to keep my school and employer from finding out about my theft?

If you fight the case, you may be able to enter into what is called a civil compromise with the store, get the charged dismissed, or reduced to an infraction.

What will happen to me if I was given a paragraph ticket for 750?

Yes, if you miss your court date, the court will issue a warrant for your arrest. If you hire an attorney to handle this for you, you won't have to appear in court, and your attorney can probably get the drug paraphernalia charge dismissed or amended to a lesser offense.

Can I, the defendant of a misdemeanor burglary, legally have possession of the evidence (video tape of the burglary)?

Answered by attorney Kathryn L. Hudson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Kathryn L. Hudson
That would depend on how you came into possession of the video tape. If you took the tape without permission then you're looking at another charge of theft or even burglary depending on how you acquired it.
