Depends upon the actual charges brought, and their specified sentencing. You described at least two potential felonies, as well as a parole/probation violation that could put him back in jail/prison for the original case sentencing. When charged with a felony, you potentially face one or more years in prison if convicted. When charged with a misdemeanor, you potentially face up to 6-12 months in jail and fines. On each count. Effective plea-bargaining, using whatever legal defenses, facts and sympathies you may have, could possibly keep you out of jail/prison, or at least reduce it, depending upon all the facts and evidence. If you don't know how to do these things effectively, then hire an attorney that does. Turning himself in will result in a better outcome than getting caught and drug to court in handcuffs. If serious about doing so, and if this is in SoCal courts, feel free to contact me. Ill be happy to help you use whatever defenses you may have. If you can't afford private counsel, you can apply for the Public Defender.

With .07 you should get it dismissed. Get all the "discovery" (evidence against you) from District Attorney and read carefully. Have you been charged...requiring a court appearance?Interview attorneys about getting a dismissal and paying the lowest fee to attorney.

What's the punishment for buying herion?

It appears that yours would be a possession charge. The penalty would depend on whether the charges are State or Federal and upon the amount of the heroin. You should consult with your attorney to understand the maximum penalty for your jurisdiction based on your specific charges. I hope this was helpful.
