How can I drop the charges against my boyfriend and not to get into trouble for lying?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
You need to hire your own attorney. And now that the charges are filed, just because you want to drop them doesn't mean they will be dropped.

What rights are restored after being released from non-deffered felony probation in Texas?

Answered by attorney Mark R. Thiessen
Criminal Law lawyer at Thiessen Law Firm
So you completed straight felony probation which means it was not dismissed and you are now a convicted felon. You can never own a weapon or be in possession of one. You also can never vote. There are a bunch of other restrictions, but you can google them.

How can I get a felony expunged if I followed court orders?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
Nothing can be done to seal nor expunge this record. To be eligible for nondisclosure, the person must have successfully completed an eligible deferred adjudication probation and waited the proper time limit. Assaults involving family violence are never subject to nondisclosure thus even if you had finished the probaiton successfully, the case would not be subject to being sealed. To be eligible for an expunction, the case must have been dismissed or the person found not guilty, and then other requirements also apply.
