Does a bill of sale used in a private vehicle transaction hold up in court?

Answered by attorney Timothy J Klisz (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Klisz Law Office, PLLC
That would certainly hold up unless the buyer alleges you hid a defect, which is fraud. Otherwise, yes, it was an as is transaction and you handled the paperwork correctly.

I have a youth offender felony, can I become a police officer?

Steven Marc Raiser
Answered by attorney Steven Marc Raiser (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Raiser & Kenniff, PC
That is up to the police department to decide. A youthful offender adjudication is not a crime it the misdemeanor is. That could render you ineligible. You should call a recruiter and ask.

If accused of theft at store without proof can my employer fire me and my boyfriend?

Randy M Lish
Answered by attorney Randy M Lish (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Randy M. Lish, Attorney at Law
Without seeing the police report, there is no way to know what "proof" the police have. I have had clients who refuse to believe that eye-witness testimony is evidence, because it is their word against the witness's. But that testimony is evidence, and the judge or jury decides who to believe.
