Can I leave the country if on probation with a felony DUI?

Probably not. Your probation order likely will address this and you will need to get permission from the court to travel abroad. You should also inquire whether the country you are going to visit will block your entry based on your DUI.

Can a case be thrown out without hard evidence?

Answered by attorney Francis John Cowhig (Unclaimed Profile)

Your question requires an attorney consultation. It is not a simple question that can be answered on this type of forum. There are many factors that would need to be considered and evaluated. Since we do not have all the facts, it is not really possible to answer with complete accuracy First of all, what caused the bookshelf to fall. What are the results of the autopsy? These are the 2 main questions that need to be answered. If the autopsy finds that the injuries are consistent with being struck by the falling bookshelf, we need to go back to the 1st question: what caused the bookshelf to fall. This can be seen as a tragic accident, in which case the individual could be set free. However, depending on many factors which are unknown at this time, he can also be charged with criminal neglect, child endangerment, etc.

Is there any way I can get a misdmeanor petty theft off my record?

With all that's on the line, the bottom line is you need an attorney. There my be legal defenses, factual defenses or alternatives that can potentially avoid a conviction.
