How can my husband's charges be dropped and how can I remove the EPO I filed against him?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
You have a duty to testify fully and truthfully. If that exonerates your husband, good, if it does not good as well. Your father's complaint is hearsay and will have to be proven by actual testimony, yours or other actual witnesses. It is very foolish generally to involve the legal authorities and marital disputes. Also allegations of threats or violence are extremely concerning to the authorities.

Should I turn myself in on a warrant?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Michael Fraser Morgan (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Office of Michael Morgan, L.L.C.
You can either post the bail for the warrant, seek to quash the warrant by contacting the court and finding out when an how to appear in court to seek to have the warrant quashed, or you can turn yourself in on the warrant. The longer you wait normally the worse it will be for you.

If drugs were found in a vehicle that you were in, can you be found responsible or the owner of the vehicle in California?

Answered by attorney John Wood Bussman (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Offices of John W. Bussman
Anyone who "possessed" the drugs could be responsible. More than one person can be in possession of the same drugs. I'd need a lot more details to tell you how strong of a defense you might have.
