What legal action can I do for signature forgery and tax return alteration?

Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
Your current position is due, in part, to your own actions, specifically, your failure to go after these people when you knew they did it. Yes, the statute of limitations has probably run (3 years, commencing when you knew or should have known). The fact that you knew and failed to report, could be argued that you "approved" of the actions. Going after these people (assuming you could) is probably a waste of time. Say you got a judgment, do you really think you could collect. Sounds like these people are dead beat con artists who never pay anything. Perhaps this is why you can't find an attorney to help you.

What happens if I file criminal harassment charges against my ex?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
He gets arrested. What is your real question? The court system is not going to discipline your ex, to make him a better man. You slept with him. You had children with him. He was good enough then. The system says he is good enough now.
