How can I transfer a misdemeanor probation to another state?

Answered by attorney H. Matthew Vititoe
Criminal Law lawyer at Law Office of Matt Vititoe
You will need to get approval from the Georgia probation department AND the one in Michigan. Assuming you are approved (it's a pretty common thing), you will need to pay an interstate compact fee.

Is texting a threat legal?

Answered by attorney John F Brennan (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Musilli Brennan Associates, PLLC
The related incidents do not should like assaultive threats. Clearly you need an attorney to unwind the relationship and, if possible, get you the funds due. Prosecuting him will not accomplish that goal.

What's next to Misdemeanor probation ending in July?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Timothy J Klisz (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Klisz Law Office, PLLC
As a first offender, your lawyer should have gotten you a delayed or first offender plea. That means the conviction comes off your record after discharge from probation. Does that sound familiar? If not, you will need to apply to set aside the conviction in 5 years assuming not other convictions ever. Contact me to discuss further.
