People can only call police and make a report. The police investigate (or not) and present the case to the DA's office for charges (or not.)

If someone cannot meet the conditions of probation, can alternate punishment be arranged?

Answered by attorney Kenneth G. Wincorn

Go back to court and approach the chief probation officer first with your problem. Each county is different so find out what process the court prefers. The court coordinator may be helpful. Some judges prefer that probationers come to them to discuss a problem before there is a violation.
