What should I do if I am a victim of sexual assault?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Terry Alan Nelson (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Nelson & Lawless
Immediately report the crime to the police and press charges. They have rape and assault counseling, as do many organizations. Police will have a list. Use them. Enlist family and friends for moral support. Good luck.

Would I have to serve jail time for identity theft if charges were dropped?

Answered by attorney Lawrence Thomas Lewis (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Lawrence Lewis, P.C.
If charges are dropped, what would you be serving time on a violation of probation? A bench warrant? Your question does not make sense.

What happens on a cocaine charge intent to sale and possession of cocaine?

Criminal Law lawyer at R. Jason de Groot, P.A.
Only an attorney who has reviewed all of the evidence that the state intends to use against your friend can have an opinion about what might happen. Why are you asking? So that you can learn something and then tell it to the friend? The friend needs the advice, not you, and it is very fact specific and personal to him, not you. What are the chances that you will not accurately relay whatever you learn? Things get messed up all the time and misunderstood. If your friend has a history of this particular crime, he might go to prison. That is about all I can say.
