What happens when a habitual driver is caught driving and is on probation and it’s their first violation?

Answered by attorney Mark A Manning (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Mark A. Manning, P.C.
I assume when you say "habitual driver' you mean habitual offender. If he is caught violating his probation he has a serious matter. Why the high bond and what could happen I can only guess. He needs to immediately retain an experienced and responsible criminal attorney.

How long would I legally face as a minor for breaking into a car?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Stephen Lewis Freeborn (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Freeborn Law Offices P.S.
Obviously, teen court is not doing you any good. Good chance you will be booted from teen court and charged with the petty theft. You say you are only 15, thinking that you can receive some benefit for being a minor. You are old enough to be charged as an adult. Bottom line: you need to grow up, or accept the consequences that come from being "very stupid". My advice, consult with an attorney.

Is it legal to have a search warrant in two different places?

default-avatar
Answered by attorney Robert Watkins (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Robert Watkins
Yes. IF the warrant lists BOTH of the places and ALL of the items suggested to be relevant to a crime to be found at each site. Generally if the police are seeking warrants to search two locations they would submit two different warrant affidavits. That doesn't mean requesting two in one document is "illegal". Just not usual. It can cause great confusion however and may open the door to an excellent challenge of the constitutionality of that warrant.
