If you cannot afford an attorney and are indigent, the public defender can be appointed to represent him. You should get the money together to hire a seasoned criminal defense attorney. At the very least you should see a number of criminal defense attorneys in your area and find out how much it is going to cost.

What can I do about someone harrassing me whose wife I had an affair with?

Answered by attorney Kate Mesic
Criminal Law lawyer at The Law Offices of Kate Mesic, PA
I would suggest you contact law enforcement and get a police report. If you wanted to try and take it as far as criminal charges, they state attorney's office would require a police report first. However, you should also attempt to get an injunction which would preclude any contact with you, by going to the state attorney's office in your county. I would suggest you check the clerk's website for procedure on injunctions.
