How do I get a private attorney for someone who has already been assigned a public defender?

You must go out and hire a private attorney, unless the court says your friend's lawyer was not providing effective assistance. The court would have to hold a Marsden hearing to make that determination. Otherwise you are always free to hire any lawyer.

congratulations on winning the trial. the 'devil is in the details' regarding an action against the State. you would have to prove that there was egregious prosecutor misconduct which was intentional. this is very difficult to prove. there would have to be exculpatory evidence which was intentionally withheld by the prosecutor. ed dimon, esq.

Restraining Orders cannot be violated. There is no room for error. Tweeting is sufficient. The matter involving the tools is separate and the burden is on the plaintiff to prove. He must have his witnesses prepare statements for the police.
