Can I still be charge if I already paid for the money I stole from work?

Answered by attorney Andrea Rogers (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at The Rogers Law Firm
Yes, you committed a crime, so your boss has every right to call the police and file a police report. It doesn't matter that you paid the money back (although the judge in a court of law would require you to do that anyway). If the amount you stole is under $500, the prosecutor has up to 1 year from the date of the incident to press charges against you. If it was $500 or more, then he has up to 5 years.

Can I speak in court for my brother who has a speech impairment?

Cynthia Russell Henley
Answered by attorney Cynthia Russell Henley (Unclaimed Profile)
Criminal Law lawyer at Cynthia Henley
No you cannot. You need to convince your brother to allow a trained lawyer to represent him. There is NO chance he can do as good a job in his own representation.
