This office is amazing! Fought to get the right outcome from day one!

Ms. Mendez is an excellent and experienced attorney. She is knowledgeable and compassionate to her client's legal needs. Although communication from her offices can be a bit slow, they are able to answer your concerns and questions, once they respond back. Terri and her assistant Amanda are very busy and at court on most days, which would explain the slower than desired response times. Overall, though, she fights for the legal rights of her clients in a very passionate way.

The lack of communication, empathy, and urgency at her office is a total embarrassment. They took days, weeks, and sometimes even months to respond to my emails, and I was always given sorry excuses as to why the response time took so long. Additionally, when I would finally receive a response from Terri, not all of my questions would be answered! She would pick and choose what she wanted to answer. I hired Terri for what I thought would be a contested divorce so I was told I needed to pay a $6,000 retainer. Well it turned out to be an uncontested divorce and we did not even need to go to mediation. It took her EIGHT months to finalize the divorce when it should have only taken maybe 3 months (due to the 60 day waiting period)!! Not only that, but I haven't been given a single invoice for the work that was done, and I'm still waiting on a partial retainer refund since October 2024!! Terri needs to stop practicing law as she clearly has no respect for her clients.

Dealing with Terri has been a nightmare. I’ve been asking for my $5.5k retainer back for years to no avail. If you’re in a similar situation—don’t waste your time trying to be civil and asking politely—file a grievance with the Texas State Bar immediately. Dig deeper than her Google reviews, and you’ll find multiple people who have experienced what I have. She has an ongoing grievance with the Texas State Bar. I implore you to do more research before hiring her and save yourself the insanity of going through what I and others have.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will take your retainer than dodge your calls and emails, will straight up lie to you and won't refund your retainer even if she didn't do anything!!! WORST LAWYER EVER!!!!! STAY AWAY!

I recently had the unfortunate experience of retaining Family Law Lawyer, Terri C. Mendez, of Terri C. Mendez Law Solution, LLC. for legal representation on September 23, 2023. The entire ordeal can only be described as a colossal disappointment. From the very beginning, it was evident that communication was not Terri C. Mendez's strong suit, or perhaps it's more accurate to say it was non-existent. Secondly, stealing my entire $5000 retainer fee for a two-page response to questions I had of my legal rights (Maybe 2 hours work) without even providing an invoice. Per the contract signed she was to return unused retainer. Attempting to get a response from Terri C. Mendez was akin to trying to communicate with a brick wall – utterly futile. Emails went unanswered and phone calls were met with perpetual voicemail purgatory. I am now filing a grievance against Terri with the State Bar of Texas. If you value your time, money, and sanity, steer clear of Terri C. Mendez Law Group.

I had a terrible experience with a lawyer I hired. Communication was extremely poor. The lawyer never answered the phone, and instead, I was always directed to a voicemail. Even after giving the lawyer $10,000, I never received any statement of expenses from her. Furthermore, she did not make any progress in my case. a star is too much for her.
