Terrible experience. Took years to complete and cost much more than it should have. Legal fees to this lawyer were greater than the equity to be split in the property settlement. Did not let me know I could get a divorce after one year and did not apply for the divorce until after she was questioned about why it hadn’t happened after 3 years. I felt that she was more concerned with her monthly billing than my case. Stay away!
Forwarded documents with wrong information (2.75 years out of date - Her Majesty vs His Majesty). Ignored instructions given in emails. Referred to wrong documents during zoom meeting. Did not respond to inquires. Did not calculate monies required for property sale/purchase deal until final transfer of funds was pending. Charge way too much for service
"I recently hired Clayton to help me with my real estate sale. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with their service. They were unprofessional and unresponsive. I had to call them multiple times to get updates, and they often didn't return my calls. They also asked me to pay extra fees even though I had already paid them in full. I would not recommend McDougall Gauley Clayton to anyone."
Morgan boutin was retained by me for a cell phone ticket at the price of 500$. I was assured by her that 90 percent of these things are settled and never go to trial. so I paid her. theres no bodycam footage there's no police car footage, as he was on a motor cycle So it should have been a no brainer. so once the time came Morgan told me either pay me another 1500$ or plead guilty, just like that! she didn't get me a lesser nothing, she charged me 500$ to get the disclosure from the crown. screwed me. mcdougal DOES NOT HAVE THE LAWYERS YOU WANT REPRESENTING YOU. sincerely cale smith
