Adam is not trust worthy. He tells his clients to do illegal things. He was also referred to the Attorney Grievance Commission for hallucinating AI cases/citations. Avoid This Attorney at All Costs I recently came across the news about Adam Hyman, the family law attorney in Bel Air, and it confirmed everything I feared about trusting certain lawyers with something as important as a divorce or custody matter. This is the same lawyer who submitted a court brief packed with fake, AI-hallucinated cases that didn't even exist. Out of 27 citations, 11 were completely fabricated or wildly misrepresented — all thanks to ChatGPT or some other AI tool his office used. Instead of owning up to it properly, Hyman tried to blame his law clerk and claimed he "wasn't directly involved" and "does very little appellate work." Really? You're the licensed attorney who signed off on the filing and stood in front of appellate judges. The court didn't buy the excuses — they issued a scathing opinion and referred him to the Attorney Grievance Commission for potential discipline. This isn't just sloppy work; it's reckless and embarrassing for the entire legal profession.

Adam is a terrible and unscrupulous attorney. He is being investigated by the attorney grievance commission for hallucinating fake cases using AI. He’s a bottom feeder attorney. He will inflate your legal fees. His attorney, Al Scanlan is just as bad.

Wish i got the 20 minutes of time i wasted consulting with this guy over my divorce. Lacks integrity as shown by the numerous articles written about him, wish i had looked him up before reaching out.

I had been contemplating getting a divorce and wanted to speak with a lawyer, a friend of a friend recommended i speak with Adam. During the consultation he made me extremely uncomfortable in what he was suggesting we tried to do to gain an upper hand. Thankfully I walked away and found better representation. I have heard horror stories of the levels he is willing to stoop to. Adam Hyman is currently being reviewed by the Attorney Grievance Commission for not citing his cases appropriately. He claims that he did not read cases that are cited in his briefs and motions. Do your homework before hiring Adam.
