Yes you can file for a bankruptcy. The only question is what kind is right for you and whether filing is a good idea. You need to consult with an attorney to find out, we can't tell you over the internet.

What will happen to my co-debtor of my account after I file for bankruptcy?

Bankruptcy lawyer at The Law Offices of Stuart Jon Bierman
Yes, usually a co-debtor who does not file for bankruptcy will remain liable for payment of the account after you file for bankruptcy. The creditor usually can no longer collect from you but they can collect from a co-signor, surety, etc.

Can I fight a 2 year old doctor's office billing mistake and win?

Sue the doctor's office and perhaps even the insurance company, maybe even the collection agency, depending upon the facts. Hire an attorney to do so.
