The Carlson Law Firm, Veteran Owned and Operated, first opened its doors in Killeen, Texas in 1976. What started out as a couple of attorneys in a small office has grown into one of the largest and most successful law firms of its kind in the great state of Texas.

Hired this firm to represent me on a medical device case. They required 45%. Four months after I hired them, and signed all documents to obtain medical records, they contacted me and wanted me to obtain them myself & mail to them. They said they needed them in 1 week. I pushed back reminding I signed medical release and the fact they were charging me 45%. They abruptly canceled their representation. I investigated this firm & found out they are not licensed in Arizona where I live.

Your website lists this individual as someone who specializes in international business and contracts when, in fact, he does not. A waste of time and effort. If a law firm can’t get their specialties correct when casting a net to build their client base, I’d surely wonder about their ability to successfully manage a legal case.

Very horrible experience. Hired a attorney for 6 months, no court date, wasn’t seeing my girls on my court order, no legal action was taken, and was told the person who was suppose to be my attorney, is looking for a monitor for the other parent I’m fighting against. Everyone told me I am being taken advantage of and more then half my trust is gone. I have to contact the court clerks multiple times because I don’t know nothing going on with my case, the worst attorney ever, do not waste your time, they charge hundreds of dollars just for small emails and phone calls saying the same things. Don’t hire anyone from them, no legal action was ever taken and my attorney was working for the other parents attorney, she doesn’t care, Cheryl Powell. DO NOT HIRE!!! I went to the state bar of grievance to make a complaint to Cheryl Powell, and she contacted me and addressed the bad review I had left on there google site, and she said to me “IF YOU HAVE A CHANGE OF HEART, you can change your review

Your paralegal Jasmine is very unprofessional. She should be fired or transferred to another position not dealing with grieving clients. Her condescending tone and lack of empathy was unbecoming and definitely was not warranted. Since signing documents with your law firm on behalf of my deceased mother on Dec 2020 i have not heard anything from you guys. This was my 1st attempt to reaching out for an update on my mother's case and i didnt deserve that treatment Jasmine gave me. You just lost a client that has tremendous amount of evidence for his wrongful death claim. I have the audio with your paralegal Jasmine and after her treatment i requested to be released from your law firm so i can seek professional counsel elsewhere. She stated she will send me a release of retainer so i just wanted to make sure she does follow through with it. Thanks for your time! Daniel Hernandez

A partner in this firm, Robert Ranco, advocates for the sexual assault of women that disagree with him politically. He wrote a post on twitter about it. This is not the type of "law firm" that I would want to represent me. 1 star, only because less was not an option.

Since, according to his twitter feed, Mr. Carlson approves of the sexual assault of someone he disagrees with, from me he gets a minus rating all across the board. In his words: "I'm not wishing for it but...I'd be okay if #BetsyDevos was sexually assaulted." For me...end of story. Full Stop.

Texas almost 3 yrs is how long it took to get credit for child support not applied that was paid. I had all supporting documents. We eventually won if you can call it winning. They didn't request our cost of fighting to be paid back so we paid the a 1/3 again more then we won. Such a waste. His paralegal was also rude and answered every question with disgust. I did their job for them and they acted like I was the bad guy. Shameful!

I believe they were friends with thge Judge and or the oposeing Lawyer there were multiple things that would have made my case but my lawyer did not use. I was basically robbed and as a military person which was given no conderation either.

The legal assistant Monica, is a horrible human being. She is very unprofessional, and down right rude. She's hung up on me a few times when I asked her to leave a message for my lawyer and then never relayed the message to him. I told my lawyer two years ago that I refused to talk with this woman, and she is one of the reasons why I tried to leave this firm and move to another. For 10k, I thought I would at least be treated like a human being. This woman talks with so much attitude directed at you on the phone, her goal is to treat you this way and to make you feel like crap. I hastily signed the papers with this firm just so I could put them behind me. My final recommendation is to move on to another firm and to avoid the Carlson Law Firm, all it's offices in the Texas area, at all costs.
