The Carlson Law Firm, Veteran Owned and Operated, first opened its doors in Killeen, Texas in 1976. What started out as a couple of attorneys in a small office has grown into one of the largest and most successful law firms of its kind in the great state of Texas.

Went through a divorce a while back. As a disabled veteran I only have my disability and retirement to live off. Carlson law firm only give me the bare minimum information they could get away with for $175, they would not even give me an example and what type of paperwork I would need for the whole court proceedings. Even after 2 visits of $175 each I was no better off then going in to the courtroom with nothing. Carlson Law Furm wanted $7000 retainer before they would do anything more, and now almost a year after the divorce jas been finalized I'm looking at jail time because firms like Carlson will not help above the bare minimum.

I called seeking advice, we live out of state and we needed a Killeen Lawyer and the Receptionist told me we couldn't use them cause of a conflict of Interest, with my husbands ex wife even though they may not have represented her. She didn't even know if that was a different woman with the same name .. Loss our business! So I cant say if there good or not but there receptionist was very unprofessional!

Filed Bankruptcy and case was closed. However, there was a lien from a company for a water softener placed on my house (before bankruptcy). I knew nothing about the lien nor was I told during the initial meeting to look for liens against my house. I was told to just get a list of the creditors and did just that.The company ISPC had a lien loan with me and placed it on lien against the house. Carlson Law Firm removed the creditor however the lien was not removed. They were unaware of the lien and again so was I. We were never informed to even search the possibilities of liens. Now it will cost an additional $1500 to reopen a case for a creditor that was supposedly removed from my stuff. It was not totally removed and I feel this is wrong business practice. I was told that no attorney will reopen the case for anything less. So, now for a creditor I did report to them but Carlson Law Firm never informed me of even a possibility of liens I am out an additional $1500 on top of what I paid.

I reached out to Carlson Law Firm and spoke to a attorney by the name of Carlos for a consultation because my current attorney has been mishandling my case. Unfortunately, the experience here wasn’t much better. The attorney I spoke with came across rushed and dismissive, and after asking me to explain my entire case, he told me they couldn’t say whether they would take it unless I dropped my current lawyer first. That puts clients in a tough position with no reassurance. There was no clear guidance, no sign of interest in helping, and no sense of urgency or compassion — especially considering my ongoing injuries and my children’s claims. I was hoping for a stronger, more supportive consultation, but instead I left feeling like they couldn’t be bothered.

This firm's primary interest is to have one of their "assistants" sign you up so that you are legally bound to them. Then they take their time to determine if they really want you as a client. They also want 40 percent of what they get for you. That is 10 percent higher than what most firms require on contingency.

Fathers looking for help this is not the place. I originally paid the retainer fee and was told that and $250 a month would be all I needed. But once I asked for deposition and discovery I was told I needed two thousand more upfront when that was never mentioned at the beginning. My lawyer waited days before my court day to ask me to get police records after they told me they would do it. When the opposing party lied in court and I wanted her to go after it further she told me to let the judge do it if he wants. They said they would do things that they didn’t do and argued me better then they argued the opposing lawyer. One day we had a argument as if I was the worker and they are the boss over me. I have much more to go on about but to put it simple MEN do not get your hopes up dealing with this family law firm. Please research people who actually been thur this because they will give the minimum and go home to their family and spend your hard earned money and don’t care

I used this Law firm for a Personal Case. They are quick to sign you up for a case making you think they are going to represent you with a high level of Professionalism after that bait of locking you into a Contract they never return your phone calls and you get the Lowest level of Professionalism I have ever experienced. My advice to anyone seeking legal help is " Don't waste your time with this firm. After horrible service customers should file complaints with the Bar Association.
