Jedediah "Jed" A. Main is an Orlando-area Florida Bar Board Certified Civil
Trial Lawyer and the founder of The Main Law Firm, P.L., serving Orlando and
Central Florida from offices in Winter Park, Lake Mary, Mt. Dora, and Clermont.
With more than two decades of experience as a former prosecutor, former
insurance-defense attorney, and plaintiff trial lawyer, he focuses on commercial
truck and semi-truck collisions, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, and
catastrophic injury cases.
BOARD CERTIFICATION AND TRIAL CREDENTIALS
Board certification in Civil Trial Law is The Florida Bar's highest formal
recognition of an attorney's competence and experience in a specific field. It
requires substantial involvement in civil trial practice, a demonstrated record
of jury trials, peer review by judges and fellow attorneys, and successful
completion of a rigorous examination. Only a small percentage of Florida
attorneys hold it.
Mr. Main is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), an
invitation-only association of experienced trial lawyers and judges dedicated to
preserving the civil jury trial. He is also a member of the Multi-Million Dollar
Advocates Forum, which is limited to attorneys who have served as lead counsel
in cases resulting in verdicts or settlements of one million dollars or more,
and the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys, a national organization focused
exclusively on commercial motor vehicle litigation.
He holds the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest
peer-review rating for legal ability and ethical standards.
COMMERCIAL VEHICLE AND TRUCKING LITIGATION
A significant portion of Mr. Main's practice involves catastrophic crashes with
commercial trucks, semi-trucks, and other large vehicles. These cases are
governed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and turn on evidence
the carrier controls, including electronic logging device data, driver
qualification files, hours-of-service records, vehicle maintenance histories,
and event data recorder information. Liability frequently extends beyond the
driver to the motor carrier, cargo loaders, maintenance providers, and freight
brokers.
Mr. Main has been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 10 Trucking
Trial Lawyer in Florida since 2022, a Top 10 Car Accident Lawyer since 2023, and
a Top 25 Motor Vehicle Trial Lawyer since 2024. He has been named to its Top 100
Trial Lawyers since 2021.
EXPERIENCE ON BOTH SIDES
Mr. Main began his career as an Assistant State Attorney with the Office of the
State Attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, which encompasses Orange County.
He subsequently defended insurance carriers as an insurance-defense attorney in
downtown Orlando. That experience gave him a working knowledge of how claims are
investigated, valued, and defended from the inside.
He founded The Main Law Firm in 2010 to apply that knowledge on behalf of
injured people rather than against them.
TRIAL ADVOCACY TEACHING
Mr. Main served as faculty at the Florida Justice Association's Al J. Cone Trial
Advocacy Institute in 2024 and 2025, the organization's premier trial-skills
program. He presented a demonstration on the cross-examination of defense expert
witnesses and assisted in group breakout sessions on cross-examination and
closing arguments.
LEADERSHIP IN THE PLAINTIFF TRIAL BAR
Within the Florida Justice Association, Mr. Main serves on the Board of
Directors and the PAC Board of Trustees. He is Past-Chair of the Solo and Small
Firm Section, having served as Chair for the 2025-2026 term. He serves on the
Legislative Committee, including its Trucking, Medical Damages, and
Automobile/Bad Faith subcommittees, as well as the Membership, Awards, Eagle,
Ad Hoc Communications, and Budget Prep Committees. He is a two-time recipient of
the association's Bronze EAGLE Award and has served on the Board of Directors of
the FJA Minority Caucus.
He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the Central Florida
Trial Lawyers Association, and the Orange County Bar Association.

Mr. Main serves on the Board of Directors of the Immunocompromised Association
of Orlando. He is a founding board member and past president of Guys With Ties
Philanthropy. He supports the Orange County Bar Association Legal Aid Society as
a Premier Sponsor of its Breakfast of Champions, the Dr. Phillips Center as a
Tree of Light sponsor of the Frontyard Festival, Horses Without Humans Horse Rescue, and
Fashion for Hope.

Mr. Main personally oversees every case in the firm. Every client receives his
cell phone number and direct access to him throughout the representation. The
firm is intentionally small so that this remains possible.
