About Rosemarie Ferrante

Rosemarie Ferrante is a family attorney focusing on non-adversarial divorce through mediation and collaborative divorce. She has been practicing exclusively family law for over 25 years. Rosemarie’s goal is to provide families the resources and tools needed to smoothly transition through the divorce process. Her practice helps couples who wish to separate or divorce in reaching agreements that foster goodwill and trust, while meeting each spouse’s individual goals and needs, while most importantly, supporting ongoing positive relationships with their children, and with each other as co-parents.

Rosemarie is President of the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce (CCND) the statewide non-profit professional organization of Connecticut mediators and collaborative divorce practitioners whose mission is to change the way people divorce or separate in Connecticut by reducing conflict and improving the lives of family members – especially children.

Rosemarie founded Divorce Resource CT and, in partnership with Hollis Hardiman, CDFA offers education, support and wellness workshops for individuals contemplating divorce. The workshops are offered throughout Fairfield County, CT and online.

Rosemarie is an active member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM), the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), the American Bar Association (Family Law & Dispute Resolution section, Mediation & Collaborative Law committees), the Connecticut Bar Association (Family Law Section, ADR Section), the Danbury Bar Association and the Fairfield County Bar Association.

Rosemarie earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University in 1993 and her law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1996, where she was Primary Notes & Comments Editor of the Brooklyn Law Review. She was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1996 and the New York Bar in 1997.

Rosemarie made a very difficult situation much easier. She is extremely professional, reliable, and timely in all communication, both email and over Zoom. She is clearly knowledgeable about the process of divorce and offered important guidance leading to a fair agreement. Rosemarie explains technical issues in a way that is understandable, and for someone, uncomfortable with the details of the law, that was invaluable. I highly recommend her for the purpose of mediation.

Rosemarie did an amazing job with my mediation. She was compassionate, kind, knowledgeable, and organized. Divorce is never a walk in the park, but Rosemarie's calm demeanor and helpful, kind attitude made it as seamless as possible. She is responsive, proactive, and did a great job of keeping the process on track and communicating with us about next steps. If anyone is going through this difficult life event, I would recommend Rosemarie wholeheartedly to make the process as painless as possible.

I had a wonderful experience with Rosemarie during our divorce mediation. She was easy to talk to and made what could have been a potentially stressful process more comfortable. We had many zoom sessions as we worked out our agreement. She summarized each session thoroughly, and provided guidance on what was required going forward. She was knowledgeable, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend Rosemarie for those seeking divorce mediation.

Divorce is already a difficult process, then you have to place trust in the hands of a stranger to guide you through the process. Rosemarie was respectful of our time, our goals in mediation and our budget. Can’t speak highly enough of how seamless this process was with her!

Rosemarie was patient, clear, and incredibly compassionate during my divorce and simultaneous diagnosis with breast cancer. With Rosemarie's help and guidance, my ex-husband and I were able to navigate a difficult time with ease and grace.
