Coppola Hockenberg, P.C. is a law firm based in West Des Moines, Iowa, with a wide and varied successful legal practice that has been serving local and national clients for more than four decades.

Community and tradition are important to us. President of the firm, Attorney, Christopher B. Coppola, has followed his father's footsteps, Charles Coppola/. Christopher's son, Anthony Coppola, is now a law student at Drake University, following in the footsteps of his grandfather Charles and his father Christopher. His plan is to practice law when he completes law school.

Attorney Harlan "Bud" Hockenberg, has been practicing law for over 75 years and has a wide array of experience in most things law. He is well respected in the legal and political community.

Our law firm is one of the most well respected small law firms in the State of Iowa and in the Midwest.

Sets realistic expectations. Communication is clear and in laymen’s terms. Responds timely. Support staff is incredible to work with. Works to diffuse high conflict divorces without being a push over- still stands his clients grounds. Doesn’t have to be harassed to get stuff done. He’s pragmatic and effective. I have used him for a custody issue in a very high conflict custody issue. I’ve also tapped his brain for advice on other matters like a personal injury case and contract matter. He’s versatile and knowledgeable on all fronts and out of the 11 lawyers I’ve used in the last 24 months he’s been the most effective and most responsive.

I was very impressed. I have worked with CPAs attorneys across the state for a number of years. Chris is among the best. Chris has a number of outstanding qualities but the two that state out to me are responsiveness and high ethical standards. I would be most happy to recommend Chris to anyone.

As I started working with Mr. Coppola and his assistant Sarah, I was left in awe. I found Chris to be a top notch, world class lawyer dedicated to helping his clients. When you enter a room you will feel Chris’ presence. He’s charismatic and quite sophisticated. He was responsive and easy to reach. My spouse had overcomplicated the case. She refused to back down on her unreasonable demands involving temp order for child custody and spousal support. As my case got more tangled, Chris never lost track of my initial end goal. He was able to filter out the noise and expertly navigate the situation. When it was war time, Chris fought as if he was fighting for himself. It seemed like everyone took note. I will always remember that during my darkest hour, Chris was there fighting and phone for me in good conscience. He achieved the end results I wanted in the cheapest way possible.
