The law firm, now known as Russo Tumulty Nester Thompson & Kelly, LLP, traces its roots to the firm of Drewen Nugent & Rollenhagen that opened its doors shortly after the conclusion of World War I. Joseph Tumulty and Edward Russo joined and ultimately became the Firm's managing partners.
In 1974, Joseph S. Nester joined Edward Russo and State Senator Joseph Tumulty and the Firm became known as Russo Tumulty & Nester. The Firm has continued to serve clients from offices in Jersey City for nearly sixty years and now from offices in Cedar Knolls and West Caldwell. During its long and successful history, the firm has represented Getty Oil, Texaco, Harry M. Stevens, Inc. (the sports food concessionaire), AAA Trucking, The Provident and numerous other banks, Metropolitan Life, New England Life, and Prudential Life Insurance, numerous estates and many small businesses.
