RECENT CASE RESULTS
Truck Accident Wrongful death - $13.7 million verdict. A jury returned a verdict for $13.7 million for three families affected by a tragic trucking accident. The three victims left behind their spouses along with a total of 7 children. The family of a 54-year-old mother of three who was killed in the trucking accident, who Andrew Schwartz represented, received $5.2 million.
Catastrophic Injury - $5,6 million verdict. A woman was awarded $5.6 million verdict for back injuries when an elevator at her work failed.
Wrongful Death - $4,600,000 recovery for firefighter death. The widow of one of two Contra Costa County firefighter who died in a house fire will receive $4.6 million to settle her wrongful-death lawsuit against two security companies she blamed for mishandling the initial report of the blaze.
Personal Injury/Trucking Accident - $5,375,000 recovery for traumatic brain injury. A 61 year old grandmother was hospitalized for two months after sustaining head injuries when a semi-truck traveling 60MPH, and carrying a full cargo, rear-ended the S.U.V. in which she was a passenger. We were able to obtain a settlement in the amount of $5,375,000 on her behalf. Wrongful death of a 5 year old kindergarten student who was being escorted to school by a teacher employed by the University of California after having been dropped off at a bus stop by a driver for the Berkeley Unified School District.
