A former United States Marine, Ms. Hartley has served in every possible position with a law firm, from receptionist/file clerk to law clerk and research attorney, to litigation attorney. While attending law school, Ms. Hartley was employed full time at a local long-time family law firm. Ms. Hartley graduated with High Honors from Ventura College of Law and was soon thereafter hired by another premier firm as an associate attorney where she remained until opening her own firm in 2009.
Ms. Hartley serves as an adjunct professor at Ventura College of Law. She teaches Advanced Legal Writing as a summer (intensive) course, and Federal Civil Procedure, a core course of the law school curriculum. By focusing our efforts exclusively on family law matters we have become a firm with both a broad base of experience and ongoing commitment to remain on the cutting edge of family law issues and education. Ms. Hartley serves as a Judge Pro Tempore in the Ventura Superior Court on a regular basis, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Bar Association and as Treasurer of the Ventura County Family Law Bar Association. Just this year, she began serving.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing with her magnificent Airedales and spending time with her husband, Mike.
