Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer. My mother hired Mr. Carter to handle some Family Court issues on my behalf. He appears to have a good working relationship with the AGs Office and he and his assistant, Sarah Harris, did an excellent job with resolving those issues. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has issues in Family Court in Smith County.
James Carter is a man of character and ethics which I find refreshing in today's marketplace. I have the highest regard for him as not only an attorney but also a great man of God. James gets my highest recommendation to potential future clients.
James Andrew Carter has been my attorney since 2013, and fought for me--successfully!--through an ugly, messy divorce. He is a man of highest integrity, wisdom, and sound judgment who lives out his faith in God through his work serving the families of Smith County. Recommend him highly.
He is a crook who tears families apart, he was supposed to email me a copy of the court paperwork from a mediation so I could verify it was all correct, took him three months to email it and when I received it, there were errors. So I emailed him, letting him know of the errors and he never responded and just went ahead and submitted the paperwork anyway. He is a sorry excuse for a human
We hired Mr. Carter as the amicus attorney in our case. After he ordered us not to speak to our daughters about the case, and after he gave them his number and told them that if they had any questions or concerns to call him, he completely ignored them. He didn't return a single phone call. He did not follow-up with anyone on the lists we gave him. He ignored the children's therapist's advice. My daughters no longer trust anyone that has to do with the court system because of him.
