About Mr. Alan Wayne Pigg

Alan Wayne Pigg, who was admitted to the Texas State Bar in 1995, is a Board Certified attorney in Workers’ Compensation Law with a practice in Tyler, Texas, devoted exclusively to representing injured workers and disabled individuals in the East Texas area. After obtaining his BBA in Accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1991, he passed the Uniform Certified Public Account Examination and worked for the Accounting Department of Mobil Oil Corporation in Dallas.

Mr. Pigg obtained his J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 1995 where he served as a Manuscript Editor for the American Journal of Criminal Law and as Vice President of the Texas Federalist Society. He was a member of the Corporate Counsel Society and participated in Moot Court and Mock Trial. Mr. Pigg began working in the area of workers' compensation while serving as a law clerk for Flahive, Ogden & Latson during his time in law school and worked there for an additional year as an attorney after graduation.

Mr. Pigg began as an associate of Cowles & Thompson, P.C. in Dallas in 1996 practicing insurance defense with a heavy emphasis in workers’ compensation law. He transferred to Cowles & Thompson’s Tyler office in 1999 and was soon the senior workers’ compensation attorney within the firm. Mr. Pigg provided representation at all levels of the administrative process, including Benefit Review Conferences, Contested Case Hearings, and appeals to the Texas Workers’ Compensation Commission Appeals Panel in Austin, Texas. His practice also included healthcare litigation, personal injury defense, products liability cases, third party litigation, medical negligence cases, and toxic tort cases.

In August of 2005, Mr. Pigg formed Alan W. Pigg, P.C. to represent the people of East Texas in their workers’ compensation and social security disability matters. Mr. Pigg has served as a panel speaker on multiple occasions at the State Bar’s Advanced Workers’ Compensation Law Seminar.

I highly recommend Alan Pigg and His Legal Assistants to anybody needing legal assistance! I was represented by Alan and His team of Professionals after a horrible auto accident, I thought my life was over but they helped me pick up the pieces, day in and day out! Marty and Ashley were very helpful with communication and making sure I was aware of all my options, they really care about you! If it wasn't for there help I would be at a complete loss to my situation! Much thanks to Alan Pigg!
