About M. Gabriela Ungo

M. Gabriela Ungo has practiced U.S. federal immigration law since 2001, focusing on business and family-based immigration matters. Gabriela has worked extensively assisting U.S. companies obtain visas, permanent residence and citizenship for their foreign employees including researchers, university professors, executives and other professionals. She also assists U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents with sponsoring their family members for immigrant visas. There are some areas of immigration law, therefore, for example, our law firm does not handle issues relating to asylum, detention, deportation/removal or international adoptions.

Gabriela works closely with each of her clients to understand their immigration objectives and crafts plans to maximize the chances of achieving them. She integrates legal ethics to her practice by providing an open and honest assessment of her client’s immigration problems or concerns and responding to them expeditiously. Her practice outcome is higher quality petitions, more approvals and fewer delays.

She has been an invited speaker in bar meetings, business organizations and universities, and has appeared on several Mississippi Public Radio programs. Gabriela also has publications and various professional and business journals.

Prior to immigrating to the US, Gabriela practiced business and investment law in Costa Rica. She worked at MTV Networks Latin America, Inc. in Miami, FL and handled matters related to intellectual property, telecommunications and advertisement law in Latin America.

Ms. Gabriela Ungo is a very proficient and instrumental immigration attorney. I've sought her services in several occasions and I couldn't be more satisfied with her prompt and knowledgeable guidance. She understands people's concerns and takes the extra effort to make sure that you comprehend your rights. She has always welcomed my emails and phone calls at any time, but if for some reason her schedule didn't allow it, one of her expert teammates at Walker & Ungo was able to resolve my issue.
