Working for this law firm has been a wonderful experience. The structure of this firm makes the alteration of changes to your estate plan easy. Also, the attorneys are very knowledgeable and responsive.
High pressure to give rep money on first visit. We hadn't even decided whether to go with this company and we had never met this person before. Wanted to do some research on the company and look into other ones. He kept lowering the price, but, almost insisted we write him a check today. We told him our finances were really tight right now and any amount would be difficult. He continued to ask until we finally said absolutely not.
We felt very rushed by lawyer and deceived by sales person. Request for corrected documents has taken many calls and is still not complete after 6 weeks. Did not perform all the services promised. The trust was not personalized nor were details explained to us as other lawyers have done. Do like ring binder, but would like answers to our questions that have come up since we reviewed the documents. Am being forced to see additional law practice to get assistance to complete plans.
This company is a complete scam. Hired to write Trust and they COMPLETELY messed it up. Did not take accountability for their mistakes. When one of the beneficiaries hired an attorney to contest the Trust, EPLS complelety washed their hands and told us they do not handle litigation. At time the Trust was purchased, we were told they would handle the entire process of asset distribution, etc. All we received was a list of thing WE had to do and didn't even give us an attorney to help. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Rushed everything, allowed trust to be signed by someone under heavy influence of painkillers a few days before passing away due to cancer. if you pay them extra they'll go ahead and alter anything in the trust without the agreement of other trustee.
Would not recommend that anyone use their services.
My parents wanted to put their real/personal property into a trust. EPLS of Troy,MI said this could be done. We signed the paperwork to put the real property into the trust & sent it to another family member to sign - that member has refused to sign & has not returned the paperwork - I have contacted EPLS numerous times on behalf of my parents on this matter. The responses have been minimal or none & the service has been paid for.
