Lori is the best there is no doubt. She is kind and knowledgable. When I was about to jump off the ledge at what my spouse was saying she would draw me back in. Mr. Steger handled my refinance back in 2007. He even helped me to lower the interest rate and not lock in any points, which was great considering the fact that the lender tried to slide that one in there in the end. It was handled very professionally and very quickly. He was a pleasure to deal with and had plenty of info to share on how the whole process worked. Lori is compassionate and knowledgable. She is friendly and personable. Wants to be in contact with her clients herself. Has a great staff of paralegals at her clients disposal. Treats her clients with respect. Very confident in the law and handles herself professionally. Is held in great regard in the community.
Took her over a month to write up a simple prenuptial agreement where she just took an old agreement from another client and made some minor changes; should have been done within a week. She did not proofread it and still had old clients name in several areas. Also charged way too much. Charged me $3500 for probably 30 minutes worth of work since she just used a pre-written old agreement from another client. Would ask her to make changes and most of the time would take way too long to get back to me. Also I would ask her to make several changes and then she would only change half of them and then I would have to email her again. Overall took way too long with the whole process which put a lot of strain on my relationship with my fiancé at the time. Also she required to be paid upfront so she could take her sweet time with the whole process. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Karen settled back doors with the other lawyer. She charged $15,000. for a paternity case. She demanded $5,000 to go to trial the week before the court date. It never went to trial and she sent me a refund check of less then $200.00! She had my son as part of her and the other lawyers negotiation take an infant course. Th child is a toddler, not a newborn or infant. Among other rediculous terms including grandparents can not spend time with their grandchild!
