I think the best thing for me to do here would be to post the letter I wrote to Karen Steger, it is self explanatory. {para}But this space is limited, so let me just say that the letter was to thank her and her staff, the job they did for me was fantastic.{para}The representation was "over he top", the focus was on resolving my issues, not generating fees! A very unusual and honest law firm!
She is an instigator. Not pleased with her personality and bull dog attitude. She needs to learn to respect what her client desires and not do what is best for her ($$$)
Having Karen as my divorce attorney was one of the worst mistakes I have ever made in my life. She was uncaring, unprofessional, inattentive and dishonest. She charged me twice in a case in which she did basically nothing except get me sued for bad advice she gave me and then wanted to charge me again in that case for representation that she failed in to begin with. She promised monthly statements, in I received 2 of within a 2 year period. I never knew what I paid for. There were multiple mediations and she made zero proposals letting the opposing attorney get everything he wanted. I lost and her unprofessional remarks several times were, "It's not my fault you married an A Hole!" She never returned calls or texts but yet charged for them apparently. She literally did nothing, except show up in court to finalize the divorce. I hope this review protects someone and they don't make the same mistake i did. The Bulldog only bites if you have a lot of money, clout or its a no brainer!
Working with this lawyer was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. She was so bad, I thought she was working for the other side!! It was for a child support case and because she lost the case, I was in enormous trouble financially, struggling to take care of my child for many years!! Needless to say, her charges were outrageous as well!! Stay away from this Attorney!!!
