I can not say enough wonderful things about this law practice. April, Leslie and Wendy have gone above and beyond. All of their personalities are wonderful. I feel they truly have been concerned about my case. The communication has been seamless...always a prompt response to phone calls and emails. They have been more than willing to work with me and keep me abreast of all developments with my case.
Just completed a divorce using this firm and was very satisfied. Start to final decree of less than 5 months, which was quite an accomplishment for the assets and business involved after 9 years of marriage. The paralegal was excellent and handled much but April Stafford was always a driving
force on keeping things moving toward a resolution. I was very pleased.
Mrs. Stafford is a very competent attorney who works for the best interests of her clients. I wanted to take the low road, and she persuaded me to take the high one and things worked out for the best for me and my children. We often seek counsel, but don't want to hear what counsel has to say. I'm thankful I did.
I only ever saw Ms. Stanford on the day of my hearing. Other than that I was pushed off on a paralegal. I ended up taking my case to another attorney to get it resolved.
Worked mostly with someone I thought was a paralegal, but whom I now know is the firms office manager. Only saw attorney on date of hearing and in an email when I terminated services.
Attorney Stafford appeared to use her familiarity with the presiding judge to her client's advantage in ways that did not feel consistent with the principles of justice or impartiality. This created an environment where the opposing party-who had not been accused of any abuse, neglect, or unfitness-was denied meaningful access to their child. There was no clear or convincing evidence presented that would justify such a severe limitation, yet it was allowed to stand. This is deeply troubling in light of well-established legal precedent protecting parental rights under the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (Troxel v. Granville, 530 U.S. 57 (2000)). In my view, Stafford's conduct demonstrated a lack of regard for these constitutional rights and contributed to a result that appeared less about the best interests of the child and more about money. The use of financial threats and demands-such as proposing conditions involving large sums of money for basic parental access- UNETHICAL
I had an appt with April Monday and drove 1 hour and 45 minutes of 2 hours and 10 to get there and I received a call saying that there was a conflict with me and couln't take case. I made appt. 5 wks ago. 20 min. PRIOR to my arrival they cancel. They knew I was driving this far. She was recommended by a close friend of April's. I have made her friend aware of this and she will not recommend again. How can you win cases April when you can't even get conflict done prior to 20 minutes of appt?
