Bachara Construction Law Group opened its doors in 2007 focusing solely on construction law. With more than 55 years of collective experience in every aspect of construction law, Bachara Construction Law Group is qualified to handle every type of construction dispute, ranging from payment disputes to bid protests, delay claims, claims of defective design or construction and insurance coverage disputes. Bachara Construction Law Group also regularly negotiates and drafts contracts on behalf of its clients.

The firm's commitment to construction law is not just based on experience; it is also rooted in family tradition. Chip began working for his father's construction company at the age of 14, later earning a Bachelor of Building Construction from UF and a General Contractor's license from the State of Florida. After working for two of Jacksonville's largest commercial contractors and obtaining his law degree, he has practiced continuously in Jacksonville since 1987, focusing exclusively on construction disputes.

A Board Certified Construction Lawyer, Chip carries Martindale-Hubbell's "AV" rating and Preeminent Lawyer status and is listed in the Best Lawyers in America and Florida Trend Magazine's Legal Elite. He's also been recognized as a Florida Super Lawyer by the publisher of Law & Politics since the inception of the designation.

Our company had a large construction defects case with another law firm for many years and they never were able to move the case or settle it. I did an exhaustive review before I selected Bachara Construction Law. From the time we selected their firm to the time he was able to bring the case to a winning close was less then 9 months. This result was an incredible result for us and I recommend them without any reservations. management

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.

Lawyers who have received peer reviews after 2009 will display more detailed information, including practice areas, summary ratings, detailed numeric ratings and written feedback (if available). Details for individual reviews received before 2009 are not displayed.

Attorneys that receive reviews from their peers, but not a sufficient number to establish a Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Rating, will have those reviews display on our websites.
