About Michelle J. Perkins, Esq.

Michelle J. Perkins was admitted to the bar in 1994 and practiced solo for two years before co-founding Owens & Perkins with her grandfather, C.D. Owens. Over 23 years, they built a multigenerational family-law practice in Arizona—Mr. Owens retiring after an extraordinary 68-year legal career in 2017. Ms. Perkins specializes in family law, estate planning, and probate, representing clients whose families have trusted the firm since 1967. Under her leadership, the firm celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2022. An active member of the Arizona Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization and the Successful Women Owners Network, she is recognized for innovation, growth, and community service. I would like to thank everyone associated with my case for their assistance during a difficult time in my life. During the initial meeting, Michelle Perkins verbally led me through the dissolution process, asking pertinent questions of me and in turn answering any questions I posed of her all the while making me feel at ease. My paperwork was prepared timely, efficiently and most importantly accurately and once submitted to court, my Consent Decree and QDRO were signed by the judge in one week.

Michelle has represented me on many various business issues over the last 6 years and she also prepared my estate plan to protect my family. She is always right on point, identifies the issues, the best solution and puts the plan in action. As a business owner is it imperative to have competent legal counsel that you can turn to to get your questions and business problems resolved quickly. Michelle is amazing, particularly when compared to the other lawyers I used in the past. Never again.

When filing for my divorce, I represented myself through mediation with the intent of saving money in attorneys fees. After the divorce was final, I discovered details of my divorce decree had left me with undesirable consequences. I sought legal counsel with Michelle, who informed me of various issues that could have been cleared or avoided had I hired her from the beginning to handle my divorce. In hindsight, I would recommend hiring Michelle, an attorney who can do it right from the beginning
