Hired Attorney Mandy Gina Leigh

Mandy is excellent & experienced! I'm very picky -- not the easiest client to work with. She negotiated 2 settlements with my child's school. Each time, I was uncomfortable with a lot of the wording of the school district's proposed agreement. I wanted things added/deleted to my own satisfaction & was able to reason with Mandy to help her see my point of view. She worked within my budget to allow me a settlement I could live with, yet was clearly willing to go to trial. Great communication.

Leigh Law group has helped us tremendously! We have depended on them with great success! Mandy, Jay, Damien, and their associates have all been very professional and we won our case on 17 counts! The school district appealed, and then we won the appeal in federal court! Now our child is getting the access to education that they deserve! My only regret is not calling Leigh Law sooner. We highly encourage you to start documenting the details of your claim and call Leigh Law today

I learned so much about special education law and all of the violations the school district was doing without my knowledge. They kept us in the dark. Leigh Law Group was very professional and supportive throughout the entire process. Most of all they genuinely cared about my son and his well being.

Mandy is an amazing attorney. She is hard driving and gets results. She is an expert in her field and is far and away the best we worked with after failed attempts at finding support for our disabled son. Our only negative feedback is that because she is busy, you need to learn to communicate quickly and efficiently. No time for rambling. We highly recommend her.

I strongly advise against hiring Mandy Leigh. As an attorney myself, I was alarmed by her unethical and exploitative practices: - Misrepresented Ethics: Claimed it was unethical to give fee estimates—this is false and violates California’s Rules of Professional Conduct. - Excessive Billing: Estimated $8–10K for IEP help but charged over $18K without finalizing the IEP. - Ignored Client Instructions: Acted against my explicit directions and billed for it, citing an illegal interpretation of her engagement terms. - Overly Adversarial: Promised collaboration but escalated issues and threatened litigation without consent. - Scare Tactics: Used fear-based language to pressure us into accepting her strategy and paying inflated bills (and taking down negative reviews). - Poor Communication: Responded quickly but often didn’t answer questions clearly, leading to more billable time. While she may have legal knowledge, her conduct was unethical and deeply concerning. Avoid this firm.

Trying to assess Mandy's ability to help our case, we had two phone consultations with her. By the end of the second, we had decided not to retain her services, and told her so. After the phone call, Mandy sent an unsolicited email message, followed by a series of three more email messages. Each message felt to me as rather unwelcome and unpleasant. However, these messages were revealing in that they made it clear to us that choosing not to retain Mandy was a very prudent decision. Since then, my wife discovered a series of reviews online critical of Mandy, particularly on Google Maps. Reading them after this experience, many of them seem to us as both credible and familiar. Suffice to say: My opinion is that one should avoid working with Mandy. To know what you're getting involved with, go to Google Maps and sort for the one-star reviews. I'm sure it will be enlightening.
