I consulted Julie on an employment law case on the recommendation of a colleague. I was upfront that minimizing legal fees was imperative given my very small business, which she acknowledged. Julie initially did a nice job of finding compliance areas in our processes, and comes across as focused on compliance at all costs - which isn't a viable approach for business with 2 full time employees. Our engagement from that point forward comprised a lot of back and forth emails with me seeking where in her advice there was a path to a outcome, and Julie restating in multiple emails the same issues without communicating a strategy to get me to my business goals. I had to turn elsewhere for the representation I needed, but still got a large invoice for the pleasure of those emails. If you want a technical expert on compliance, Julie may be your person. I needed a business-oriented attorney balancing risk and devising a cost-effective strategy to solve my problem. I didn't get that support
