James Lawrence Pagano

This man is HORRIBLE. When someone calls for an attorney, usually it's an emotional experience. I had contacted several attorneys in the area, and they were all extremely pleasant, listening intently and offering to follow up once they looked into my claims further. I get on the phone with this BULLY and he basically doesn't listen to my full story, he immediately cuts me off and tells me "He's going to be straight with me" because he's sure other lawyers won't give me the same courtesy. Again, without getting the FULL story, he ATTACKS me for working at a job where an employer screams and curses at me. FIRSTLY, he may have money but I can't be choosy about where I work. I take care of my elderly mom, and it's a struggle for me to stay gainfully employed because I have Crohn's Disease. I take ANY job that comes my way. SECOND, he is obviously abusive to his employees, just search his name on Glassdoor. I had just told him I had been at my THIRD doctor's appt in a single week, and he was just SO RUDE, I was in shock. He acted like he was arguing a case and I was his opposition, who he clearly deeply resented. Who would be so cruel after hearing someone is so sick?!{para}Thinking I would reach someone above him (I didn't realize it was Mr. Pagano I was actually speaking to, he was SO extremely unprofessional I thought it had to be a low level associate), I wrote an email through the contact box on his website. I described the abusive way I was spoken to, and that I was going to make sure to tell my story on every review site I can find. I get a letter back, from Mr. Pagano himself, saying that I'm obviously over emotional (what a sexist thing for a man to say to a woman!) and I refuse to listen to anyone who disagrees with me. Listen, you can disagree with me all you want, but give me the courtesy of listening to the full story before you vehemently and aggressively tell me I have a "loser case" that he wouldn't waste his "precious" time or money on. In this email, he also threatened legal action against me, if I dared write a bad review about him. If anyone wants to see this email, it's very nasty and I'm SURE it will dissuade you from using him as your lawyer. Who would threaten a chronically ill 29 year old woman who takes care of her elderly mother (which he knew before threatening me with legal action) with legal action for writing a VERY TRUE review about my REAL experiences?!{para}Not only is this man nasty, narcissistic, myopic, he obviously is also unethical, from the review I read above. I just hope this review goes a LONG way in stopping someone, who may very well be in an emotional predicament, from calling on this awful man for help. I can tell you he's not interested in helping ANYONE but himself, and I doubt he's a very good lawyer, because I assume listening to the full story and finding holes in it, in order to win a case, is a skill a lawyer needs to have. This man doesn't listen to ANYONE and likes to hear himself speak. Also I was not crying or screaming, I was a bit exasperated as he angrily objected to me without fully listening, but I just think it's SO sexist for a man to call a woman over emotional. I mean please, I'm in business and that's such a horrible insult. There is NOTHING wrong with following your emotions and showing people you care. I'd much rather be emotional than a horrible scoundrel who rips people off and screams at their employees. I'll probably be sued by him for writing this, and if so, when I update my review I'll probably be homeless and my poor elderly mom will be in a home, because I have no savings and am barely making ends meet. But apparently I can be sued for telling the truth on Yelp.
