I contacted REEL Fathers' Rights for help with appellate documents only. They went through my entire case, including my divorce, and charged $10,000 for work I didn’t request. They also attended a dependency court session admitting they weren’t sure if they could legally represent me, then charged $5,000. On top of that, they repeatedly charged my credit card until it was maxed out and refused to speak with me when I asked for a resolution. Their practices are unprofessional, unethical, and more focused on taking money than helping fathers. I strongly advise others to avoid them.

My experience with this firm has been nothing short of disastrous, marked by admitted malpractice, unethical billing practices, and sheer incompetence. Admitted Malpractice: Incredibly, the firm has admitted in writing to mishandling my case. This is a red flag I cannot emphasize enough. Their failure was so severe that they had to substitute an attorney after acknowledging their inability to properly manage my legal needs. Legal Action and Complaints: I am currently suing them for malpractice and have filed formal complaints with the California Bar Association. These actions reflect the gravity of their misconduct and my commitment to seeking justice. Nefarious Billing: The billing practices at Reel Fathers Rights border on fraudulent. Despite charging me over $25,000, they have failed to perform any basic services.

RUN!!! RUN FAR FAR AWAY!! This firm is absolutely unethical and criminal. They abandoned me after I paid 31k dollars to them and ran out of money. This before the most important court date where custody, support and back child support were to be calculated. They did NOTHING positive for me. They lied to me. They didn't even help me get my stuff back after my ex-wife agreed to it in our divorce and then refused to hand it over. Seriously ... do not hire them. Mark is a lair. They are terrible. Run!!!! Payed the 5,000 deposit on aug 4th to this law firm. Sept 20th they still had nothing completed or did anything for my case. When I called on the 20th to complain they tried to finally send me review and sign docs but they had errors all over. On first page didnt even spell defendants name right on the title page. They ignored emails for weeks when trying to get a hold of them. Had to sit in office just to cancel my services with this firm. Spent over 2,000$ to have no help or anything ever filed to see my newborn baby. Waste of money and time, do not use this law firm or grant mcarthur completely unprofessional law firm and lawyer.

So, I was told they could help me. Upon Hire, I was asked to fill a $5,000 Trust for a retainer. Here is a synopsis of what happened: I have only had a single conversation with my representing attorney. Scheduled phone conversations on two different occasions were ignored by the legal team, excused, and never rescheduled. I have received less than a dozen communications from a paralegal requesting I complete the same forms up to three different times, the same forms already submitted previously but billed $20 an email for submitting the same information. Since February, I have never received an update, status, or any other information regarding my case other than a requested stipulation from the other attorney to sell a home in my ex-wife's possession listing the reason for sale as my inability to pay the mortgage as the reason. I was told that this could have been contested and may impact me later in court. If you want to be ignored, this form is for you. I owe $50k + because of them
