I had a very difficult custody case. During initial interview I asked if he was a fighter or does he just sit there and collect a check. He said he would fight for a case he believed in. Mr Sherman initially got an emergency custody. We lost the case on venue since the child was not in West Virginia long enough to establish residency. True to his word mr. Grant Sherman fought hard to keep my young son out of a bad environment. We lost but went down fighting a man of his word.
I would say Lawrence Sherman is the best attorney I have seen who is not afraid to stand up for you and tell it like it is. Very aggressive in all the correct ways verbally in your defense. He does not make promises or guarantees like others I have dealt with in the past. He simply tells you your odds and does the best job possible on defending and wins for you. He will have a lifetime client out of me due to his ability to not back down verbally in fighting for my right to win......
Mr.Sherman was great and I was able to gain full custody of my son and his mother was to pay child support. He also worked to control his fees and was available when I had an emergency situation early on in this case and was quick to resolve it. I also will be calling him again soon to handle some more matters that have come up in this case.
Seeking disability benefits is of course something no one is prepared or really knowledgable of. After being initially denied, I contacted Mr. Sherman's office. A very simple and friendly phone interview led to a quick decision that he would accept my case. Mr Sherman's office was also very expedient in filing my reconsideration. Mr. Sherman continued to answer any questions I had with professionalism and empathy. End result was actually a quick approval of benefits.
Mr Sherman is quiet but he knows his law. I would recommend him for you legal problems. He's honest. He helped me.
They were really professional, let you know what was going on and what to expect.If you had a question they were good at getting it answered in a timely manner.They were also very supportive when you needed it.
Great staff but Grant Sherman waited two months to file a simple contempt order that would have granted me partial custody of my son who I’ve never met. Because of his incompetence my case along with my child was transferred to Florida oh and don’t forget about the three thousand dollars I paid him. My case was laid out on a silver platter for him and he fumbled it like a rookie. He’s not a bad guy but he is an amateur that needs a lot more experience. Just like most lawyers, he will tell you what you want to hear just for money. The words above and beyond do not exist with Grant Sherman.
I would not recommend him at all. Hired when my father passed to do the paperwork for the courthouse. After 3 months I receive a letter from the courthouse say I will be fined because the paperwork was never processed. I paid 750.00 to have it done. I had to go pick up the paperwork and do it myself. Now I cannot get anyone to return my call for a refund. DO NOT USE THEM.
