I wholeheartedly recommend John Refermat. From the moment I engaged him, I knew I was in the hands of someone exceptional. John is brilliant in his legal knowledge and deeply strategic, practical, and thorough in his approach. He sees the entire playing field, anticipates challenges, and crafts responses that are clear, persuasive, and effective. What sets John apart is his balance as both fierce advocate and steady counselor. He listens, distills complex matters into actionable steps, and his writing is surgical, his presence commanding, and his judgment unwavering. Beyond that, he brings integrity and humanity—calm in conflict, respectful in every interaction, and fully committed to his clients. If you want an attorney who is ten steps ahead, unshakable under pressure, and wholly dedicated to protecting your interests, John is the one you want by your side.
John Refermat helped my family before and after the passing of my mother. He met with me annually to be sure my mom’s will was up to date while she was still alive and then helped to settle her estate after her passing. John and his team established fiduciary for me through the court and walked me through the process of selling my mom’s house including all the paperwork that goes along with that process. John Refermat made the process much more manageable at an incredibly difficult time in my life.
Case involved a multifamily high value complex in a large jurisdiction. Multiple years, complex issues, changing environment etc . Able to achieve resolution without trial. John worked in a team environment and was able to communicate the nuances of the case to the parties. I would recommend and work with him again .
