Chuck is the best of the best. He’s not greedy. He does this for the sport because this is his passion. I feel bad for all these people that left them bad reviews they must not know the guy. In the past 20 years Chuck has never let me or anyone I referred to him down. He has fights your fight and make it his battle to win.
Chuck Smith is an excellent attorney when he wants to be. He is a very good in-trial attorney provided the investigation has been done well enough for him. Unfortunately for me, Chuck overbooked his trial schedule with wealthier clients, misjudged the competency of the local DA, and was not properly prepared for the defense of my case. After paying him over $100,000 I had to fire him and hire a new attorney. When he can't sell the DA or the jury, he'll sell you on empty promises and bad advice.
Chuck sold me on a resolution that he did not fully understand himself. He placed me in a vulnerable position. He took the easy way out instead of looking deeper into my case.
Unfortunately Charles J. Smith lost both hearings due to failure to properly analyze or defend my cases. He failed at the appellate level by insufficient and untimely filing yet billed me attorney fees for the preparation of the appellate case. He refused to refund me any of he fees even though his insufficient and untimely preparation was the cause of the appelllate dismissal. He is unresponsive and an extrememly poor communicator and NEVER informed me if the outcome of my case, etc.
