Areas of Practice - Family Law

Facing a divorce or military divorce can be life changing. Hiring a knowledgeable divorce lawyer who is qualified to handle all aspects of a divorce can make all the difference for your divorce case. One of the most heartbreaking aspects of a divorce case is that of child custody. Each parent wants what is best for their children, but they cannot always agree on what the best course of action would be. One of our attorneys can attempt to mediate the situation in order to find a resolution. However, if this is unsuccessful or there was domestic violence involved, we will defend your case in court and make sure your goals are met. When there are children involved in a case, there is even more reason to make sure that you have qualified representation. Child support or spousal support will vary based on the income of both parents. If support needs to be modified after the divorce, we can help with post-judgment modifications.

Fathers' rights and grandparents' rights are important in divorce and family law cases. The mother is not the only member of the family who has rights when it comes to child custody. An attorney from our firm knows this and will stand up for your rights in court. We can also help you navigate through settlement agreements and property division. We understand that if you are currently deciding on divorce or have already been served with divorce papers there are many legal issues that need to be discussed and handled properly. It is our advice to you that you sit down with a qualified lawyer and discuss all of your legal options immediately. You can gain the legal opinion of a member of our team when you fill out a case evaluation form that is offered on our website. This provides us information we can use to assess the situation and provide you with insight.

Hired Attorney Michael Young

TOOK MY $200 for NOTHING AND WOULD NOT REFUND IT!!!!! I am 73 years old and live on Social Security. I scheduled a consultation with Mr. Young and paid $200 for an appointment. I-called to cancel the appointment (a phone call appointment) on the second business day after reading his poor reviews. His office informed me they WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY. There was No non refund policy explained to me or on their website. The Office Manager was rude and adamant that I have to pay for the appointment which I do not want. No wonder this guy has such TERRIBLE REVIEWS. I had to call my credit card company, now the SBC Bar Association and the SBC Council on Aging and adult Abuse. What a creep and i advise anyone considering this office to think about how he has treated me. There are plenty of other lawyers out there. Why go with a proven scammer and cheat who would bilk a senior out of $200?

Office staff have a behind the scenes system where they control and intimidate clients, don't allow them to speak to attorney, lie, double and triple bill, manipulate billing, threaten with Substitution of Attorney, file documents without clients permission, perform unessaey/unauthorized paperwork to pad monthly bill/hours. During the entire retainer period of over 6 months, I NEVER ONCE SPOKE TO THIS ATTORNEY, he never resonded to any requests for calls or meetings. His hourly billing is grossly inflated for his experience level and lack of doing ANYTHING on your case. Many clients dropped for no reason. Intimidation and extensive violations of California State Bar RULES and conduct. STAY AWAY, you will spend TENS OF THOUSANDS of dollars with ZERO results.

I found him to be with out scruples. Before he left the courtroom at my first child support/custody hearing, he tried to solicit business from my ex-wife who is on the Council of the Pechanga Band of Luiseños Indians. He fraudulently over billed me. He unlawfully usurped alimony monies from a trust fund. Needless to say, I am taking legal action against him.
