Matheson & Associates PLLC provides quality legal representation across many areas of law. Our multidisciplinary firm concentrates on criminal defense, business law, civil litigation, and family law.

Matheson & Associates PLLC provides quality legal representation in the areas of Criminal Defense, DWI and Traffic Defense, Family Law, Estate Planning and Business Law. Each Department has a dedicated attorney focused exclusively on their particular area of practice to better serve our clients and stay better informed on the law then our competitors. Our criminal defense department diligently represents those in Wake County who have received a traffic, DWI, misdemeanor, or felony charge. While we have developed a practice serving individuals and small businesses in their business law and contract matters, our civil litigation group helps individuals with general civil litigation and personal injury claims. Additionally, our family law practice focuses on divorces, child custody, domestic violence, and will/estate planning. Lastly, Beer Law Center, a subsidiary of Matheson & Associates, focuses on serving the craft beer and alcohol industries in North Carolina and across the United States.

Hired Law Firm

After receiving a speeding ticket, I selected Moseley Matheson. Simply because the ad was the most expensive. I made a big mistake selecting this firm. I would assume this was handled by a rookie attorney. I received the same final disposition, if I would have handled myself. I paid the highest price for legal service and received less than mediocre service. Lesson learned. I will advise everyone I know to select someone else.

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*

• AV Preeminent®: The highest peer rating standard. This rating signifies that a large number of the lawyer’s peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.

• Distinguished: An excellent rating for a lawyer with some experience. This rating indicates the attorney is widely respected by their peers for high professional achievement and ethical standards.
