Established in 1940

Racine Olson is the largest law firm in Southeast Idaho. We take pride in providing prompt, reliable legal services to our clients. Our commitment to our clients is to provide high-quality, results-oriented legal services at a reasonable cost.

To meet this goal, our firm has attorneys whose practices focus in specific areas of law including: bankruptcy, business entities, commercial transactions, elder law, estate and trust planning and administration, family law, health care law, insurance defense, intellectual property rights, labor and employment law, litigation, personal injury, public utilities law, professional malpractice, real property, tax law, water rights, and other areas of the law which are listed on our Practice Areas page.

The Firm was established in 1940 by founding partner, Louis F. Racine, Jr. The firm grew with additional partners and lawyers being added over subsequent years, and later formed a professional corporation.

3We utilize current technology to provide legal services for our clients. Additionally, our attorneys conduct legal research from their desktops via LexisNexis online legal service, which provides access to all federal and state laws and court decisions, administrative materials, patents and financial materials. This service enables our attorneys to access the most recent developments in the law.

With lawyers licensed to practice in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, and other states, we can provide full legal services in several states.

We hired Nathan to help us apply for Medicaid to help pay for long term nursing care for my father. Nathan was extremely knowledgeable, professional, explained the rules and guidelines in ways in which we were able to understand. He worked with us for over 10 months as we continually provided needed financial documentation; and on April 17th my father was approved for Medicaid. Nathan also wrote a new trust/will for my mother. He has done an exceptional job and we are very appreciative.

Fred was very informative and friendly. He walked us through the whole process and helped us through the long wait and frustrating situation. He always made us feel our case was important and was honest about all possible outcomes. He is an advocate for those hurt on the job. I was in a serious car crash in 2007 when I was hit by a distracted driver. I had no idea where to go or what to do when I had crushing pain shooting down both legs. Fred helped me find the right doctor and gathered all the necessary medical notes and expenses. Not only did he get me the limits of the guy at fault, he was able to use my underinsured clause of my own insurance and get me those limits as well! Fred really went to bat for me and was a true advocate when I needed it the most.

Fred helped me with 2 cases of mine. My first was back in 1995. Fred helped me get the most out of that case. We settled it quickly and efficiently.The other case I had was in 04-05 and it ended up going to the Supreme Court. We won the ruling because Fred did his homework. Fred is very knowledgeable and very prepared. He is personable and very dedicated to his clients. I never had a single issue with him or his people. He does what is right for the client. He is the best in the state.
