I use attorneys in professional contexts frequently. Ms. Sercu was a thorough disappointment. Her office staff was lovely and capable but this did not compensate for her failings.
She's a bigger thief than any ex-spouse could be. Will sting you along and squeeze you for every nickel, all while completely ignoring your case, missing deadlines, making factual and clerical errors, and being genuinely unfit. If I believed there was any recourse whatsoever that would be effective, I'd report her to the bar association. Maybe get a computer so you dont take zoom calls with the judge from your phone?!
Do not hire. Marilee was retained for my family law case, did nothing for a whole month and then made me show up to court by myself and said we could appeal it. Charged me thousands for no legal aid provided. Fraud
